La vía
aérea es la forma más directa
de llegar a Punta Arenas, la ciudad más
importante que accede a la zona de Torres del
Paine.
Viajes diarios Lan Chile (One World) a Punta
Arenas, capital XII Región desde Santiago,
capital de Chile.
Duración de 4:15 horas desde Santiago
con escala en Puerto Montt.
El aeropuerto de Punta Arenas está a
20 km del centro de Punta Arenas y a 226 km
de Puerto Natales.
Por tierra son
aproximadamente 3.100 km desde Santiago o 2.300
km desde Puerto Montt. Desde Puerto Montt al
sur el viaje se realiza por el lado argentino
y se cruza a Chile por el Paso Monte Aymond
cercano a la ciudad Argentina de Río
Gallegos y a 192 km de Punta Arenas.
No hay buses regulares desde Santiago, sí
desde Puerto Montt hasta Puerto Natales, con
duración de más de un día
de viaje.
Desde Buenos Aires
argentina en un vuelo directo de aerolíneas
Argenitnas a El Calafate en tres horas y posteriormente
por ruta a Punta arenas en + - 6 horas.
Desde El Calafate
parten buses que unen en diariamente las ciudades
de El Calafate con Puerto natales ( 4 horas)
y Punta Arenas ( 6 horas) conectando con los
que van a Torres del Paine.
Hacer el trayecto
entre Puerto Montt y Puerto Natales atravesando
los canales australes es una experiencia diferente
para conocer Chile y el entorno natural de la
Patagonia chilena.

Contrariamente
a lo que indica su ubicación en el extremo
sur de la patagonia, Punta Arenas posee un clima
más benigno que los territorios circundantes,
por estar recostada sobre el mar y rodeada de
cerros que le brindan una protección adicional.
Tiene una una gran amplitud solar (Octubre / abril)
que brindan las condiciones perfectas para disfrutar
de actividades al aire libre. El sol es un factor
determinante de la temperatura ya que en los días
soleados la sensación térmica es
muy superior a lo que indica el termómetro.
El viento se hace sentir con intensidad en el
verano. En el invierno no hay viento lo que favorece
las actividades invernales. |

Indumentaria |
|
Importante
para disfrutar de este lugar es vestir siempre
con comodidad, , por lo cual es indispensable
estar debidamente provistos de la ropa y calzado
adecuados.
Recomendamos la ropa deportiva o sport, preferentemente
holgada (joggins), polar o suéter, campera
y rompevientos impermeable., El calzado ideal
son las zapatillas tipo training o los zapatos
tipo leñador o cualquiera confortable,
con suela de goma y antideslizante.
Los gorros, guantes, anteojos de sol y cremas
de protección solar son de gran utilidad
en la visita a los glaciares y al Parque Nacional
Torres del Paine o en las navegaciones.
Punta Arenas puede ser visitado todo el año,
dividiendose las temporada en: alta ( octubre
a marzo) y baja ( abril a septiembre). |
